My parents and I went down to Maryland and walked around downtown D.C. with my brother and sister-in-law the other weekend and we had such a great time.  We did a tour of the White House, checked out some of the war memorials (very sobering, by the way), got some coffee at Starbuck's and some other touristy things.  After we all got back to Austing and Christy's house in the evening I got a really high temperature and was out for the rest of the weekend.  They only have one spare bedroom so I was resigned to the living room where they were going to blow up their air mattress.  I have no idea what time it was but sometime in the early morning hours I woke up with my butt much lower than my head and legs.  I was exhausted and had no desire to move so I just fell back to sleep.  I woke up a little while later and decided I couldn't take it, so  I moved to the couch and slept peacefully until my dad got up and started moving around in his normal "I love the mornings" attitude.  Every time we get together with my whole family something defies normalcy.

My brother was taking the picture so, unfortunately, he wasn't in it.

My brother, Austin, and my beautiful sister-in-law, Christy.

My mom and dad, still very much in love.                      Christy and me.

Those drops of blood,

Those prayers of love

Were drops of grace

Running down Your face.

Have you ever felt so completely unworthy?

Although it's not quite like the snows of upstate New York that I miss so much, it still crunches under my boots just the same.

One year ago I was in rehearsals for "Born Again to a Living Hope."  Doing that production was one of the most incredible experiences of my life!  I think I loved just about every minute of it.  And it was during this time that the burden on my heart began to grow and grow concerning AIDS-affected people, specifically children.  I am so excited to learn that Word of Life is attempting to get this production started in the most AIDS saturated country in the world - South Africa.  The Lord has already done mighty things through that production and I know if it reaches South Africa the miracles of changed lives will continue.

I'm finally getting back into the groove of things here at home.  I'm working in the child care department at the YMCA.  I love it (except for all the germs).  The Lord's already placed some women who need to feel His love in my path and I'm excited to see what doors he's going to open up there.

I was up in New York a couple weeks ago for missions conference.  The concert Saturday night was wonderful and our speaker, Nard, was so convicting Sunday morning.  He spoke for missions conference during my first year and shared the same story.  But this time it was the opportunity to spend time with my precious friends that really blessed my heart.  Sometimes you forget how much you miss someone until you're with them again.  These are just a couple pictures of some of my dear friends I missed so much.  It's definitely not all of them.  (And, Joa, I can't believe you and I didn't get a picture together while I was there!  I'm so mad at myself!)
